Education was always a top priority for Mary. She was an honor student throughout grade and high school, and received a full acting scholarship to the New Jersey Governor’s School of the Arts. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting/Directing from NYU‘s Tisch School of the Arts.
Mary began fashion modeling at the age of thirteen and eventually landed a contract with Wilhelmina Models. In 2001, Mary was voted “Model of the Year” in a poll conducted online by Mode Magazine. Fueled by her experiences in the modeling industry, she assisted in developing and starred in a program for The Disney Channel called Confident For Life dealing with the issue of body image. In October 2009 she competed for the title of Miss New Jersey USA, a part of the Miss USA pageant, where she placed as a finalist.
Her TV/Film credits include Something Borrowed, a comedy set for a 2011 release starring Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson, Polycarp (also titled Kinky Killers) starring Michael Pare and Charles Durning, Life on the Ledge, White Collar, Life on Mars, The Beautiful Life, Law and Order, 30 Rock, Sex and the City, and appearances on The View, CBS This Morning, The Today Show, VH1, The FUSE, Spike TV and numerous student films.
She has acted in over a dozen plays including the Off Broadway Fools in Love, and Tempest Tossed, The Strawberry One Act Festival, Neil Labute’s Benchseat, Tennessee Williams' Talk to Me Like the Rain…, and has performed at venues like Carnegie Hall. She has appeared on numerous book covers and in dozens of magazines and advertisements. She has worked hundreds of trade shows, fashion events, bridal shows, makeup and hair shows, sports events and other promotions.
Mary remains passionate about fitness and exercise, and continues to speak about Body Image. She is a Vegetarian and enjoys cooking healthy foods, golfing, watching movies, going to the theater, and reading in her spare time. She resides in New York City.
